DESCRIPTION

The thrill of reaching the summit of the most iconic Dolomite peaks via the easiest route (from grade I to grade IV) while still following long and complex mountaineering itineraries, traveled for the first time by the pioneers of mountaineering at the end of the 19th century. It is good physical and aerobic training required; Previous rock climbing or via ferrata experience is useful but not necessary. Here are some suggestions:


1) Sassolungo

3181 metres. Difficulty: III+; height difference 600 metres

2) Punta Grohmann (Sassolungo group)

3126 metres. Difficulty: IV (one stretch); height difference 450 metres

3) Piccola Fermeda (Odle group)

2815 metres. Difficulty: III; difference in altitude: approximately 1100 metres

4) Catinaccio

2981 metres. Difficulty: III+; difference in altitude: approximately 1000 metres

5) Marmolada

3343 meters. Difficulty: medium; difference in altitude 1300 metres

6) Civetta

3220 meters. Difficulty: II+ (one stretch); difference in altitude: 1800 metres

7) Pelmo

3168 meters. Difficulty: II (one stretch); difference in altitude: approximately 1700 metres

8) Cima Grande di Lavaredo

2999 metres. Difficulty: III+; difference in altitude: approximately 680 metres

9) Cima Ovest di Lavaredo

2973 metres. Difficulty: III+; difference in altitude: approximately 650 metres

10) Cimon della Pala (Pale di San Martino)

3184 metres. Difficulty: III+ (one stretch); difference in altitude: approximately 1250 metres

11) Gran Vernel (Marmolada group)

3210 metres. Difficulty: III+; difference in altitude: approximately 1200 metres
